STACIE BARBER
Stacie Barber
As a native of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Boone, NC, I have been a lover of both mountains and the sea since my childhood. My husband, Brandon, and I moved to the lowcountry in 2007, and have since expanded our family and come to call Charleston home.
I am a graduate of MUSC’s esteemed Occupational Therapy Program, and have been a practicing Occupational Therapist since 2010. I completed my comprehensive Pilates training in Wilmington, NC and have been teaching the Pilates method since 2014. In 2015, I was introduced to the gentle energetic, soft tissue modality of Bowenwork, and immediately knew that it would be a critical tool in my practice. In 2016, I became certified as a Bowenwork Practitioner, and am continually amazed by the immense benefits of this work.
As my personal practice continued to expand, I was strongly drawn to the Integrative Institute of Nutrition Health Coaching program to be able to offer a fully holistic span of services to my clients, and have been a Holistic Health & Enlightenment Coach since May of 2016. In 2017, I was accepted into Wendy Leblanc Arbuckle’s Passing the Torch Mentorship. She is a pioneer in the world of Pilates, fascial studies and mindful movement. I completed the program in February of 2018 with a group of amazing and inquisitive ladies. This experience not only deeply enhanced my professional life and the way in which I am present with my clients, it also enriched me in a truly personal way for which I will forever be indebted.
In 2017, the opportunity to step into the ownership role at The Mindful Body Pilates Studio presented itself, and I am immensely grateful to share this experience with my life partner and dear husband Brandon. We feel extremely blessed to be part of the extraordinary family at The Mindful Body, and honor the path set forth by our friend and mentor Kim Miles, of extraordinary service, honor of the human experience and gratitude for the journey set before us.
Life has never been quite as precious as it was when we welcomed our little angels, Haven Marley in 2013 and Miles Eden in 2014, and we daily cherish our sweet family of four.
